Step-by-step instructions
If you want to add a touch of neon to your décor, making your own neon sign is a fun way to do it. You can use neon rope lights to create all sorts of different signs. And the best part is that it’s relatively easy to do!
Just follow these simple diagrams and you’ll be on your way. First, decide what shape you want your sign to be. Then, use duct tape or another type of strong adhesive to attach the rope light around the perimeter of the shape.
- Neon Word/Name Signs (Open Neon Sign)
We start with the last letter N. You can also start with the letter O, it doesn't affect the finished result. One thing you need to be aware of when making neon signs with Dekala neon strips is the order of the links because you need to connect the TYPE-C wires in series at the beginning and end of the strips, all you need to be aware of is the father port and the mother port. Remember, the open end of the light strip is the father port. We'll just connect the light strips in order. Naturally, this has to do with the location and spacing of each of your letters, and some distances may require extension wires, such as the E & P and P & O in the diagram, which should require cable extensions to be strung together. These are included in the package. The final effect presented is shown below - A completed photo of each sign.
- Neon Shaped Signs (Firework Neon Sign)
The fireworks had to start at the bottom so that the lighting effect would extend upward from the bottom. The 7 strips of lights in the fireworks section are placed at equal intervals and all have the father end facing inward. As shown in the picture, we need a 7-port Type-C hub to connect all the light strips in series.
- Neon Outline Signs (Neon Rainbow Sign)
The rainbow is the easiest to work with. You just need to place the strips in the approximate lines as shown and then connect them in series. 5 minutes to get the rainbow neon sign.
